

Evaluation Team

Laurie L. Meschke, Ph.D., Director of the Tennessee Rape Prevention Education (RPE) Program
Dr. Meschke has three decades of experience in program evaluation, the use of qualitative and quantitative methods, and research focusing on sexual and reproductive health. She recently completed the four-year evaluation of RPE for Tennessee, funded by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Meschke will continue to be responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of measurement development and the RPE evaluation for 2024-2029. In addition to her efforts in sexual violence prevention, Dr. Meschke directs the East Tennessee Rural Health Consortium which has a focus on the eradication of substance use and its impact on rural communities. This project is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

FNU (Rosy) Kamrunnaher, MA, Project Manager
Rosy is a doctoral student in Public Health Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has five years of experience in sexual violence prevention and initiated her work as the project manager of the Rape Prevention Education evaluation in the fall of 2020. Her research experience includes program evaluation and exploring the social and cultural factors associated with sexual violence.

Peter Orio III, Research Assistant
Peter is a second-year master’s student in Public Health at the University of Tennessee with a concentration in health policy and management. Peter has a background in D.E.I and Public Health which led him to his work for the RPE team. He has been a member since the summer of 2022 and serves as an assistant researcher on the team. His research experience includes program evaluation and exploring the social and cultural factors facilitating sexual violence.

Megan Johnson, MPH, MSW, Volunteer Research Assistant
Megan is an MPH MSW graduate from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She joined the Rape Prevention Education evaluation team as a volunteer in 2021, and has experience working with adolescents and survivors of interpersonal violence. Her background is in maternal child health and program evaluation.
